North Estates is an independent estate agency founded by husband and wife team Nick & Nicky North, specialising in all aspects of residential sales within the St Albans area.

Nick North is a member of the national association of estate agents NAEA with over 15 years experience successfully selling property in Hertfordshire. Having owned and managed a successful high street estate agency Nick North has seen buyers habits change over the last 10 years. The main change is that most buyers no longer visit 'High Street' estate agencies and prefer browsing the web, which not only saves time but is highly efficient in finding the types of properties that would be of interest.

This made Nick & Nicky wonder whether estate agents need a 'high street' office at all considering that a high proportion of the fee that vendors pay contributes to the upkeep of a 'traditional high street' office with little or no benefit. They concluded that it is possible to run a professional estate agency with exceptional service but without passing on the cost to the homeowner.

So in a bleak property market in the spring of 2008 Nick & Nicky opened North Estates. They are passionate about service and offer the homeowner all the benefits of the old fashioned high street agency but at a fraction of the cost.

Today over 60% of their business comes from recommendations and this is largely due to the personal approach and professionalism that Nick and Nicky put into their work.
